Week 161-2 “Snorkling at Ningaloo reef”

I keep trying to get the Blog written each week but always find something to delay it. Jill has finally succumbed to my cold for a couple of weeks and has been feeling lousy. I have dosed her up with cough mixture and Panadol every 4 hours and finally she sounds and certainly looks better. She has not felt like exercise either voice of physical – we have only had a couple of days in the gym late this week.

We have had a pretty disturbed week –Mum had a fall at St Catherine’s on Monday and finished up being taken by ambulance to the hospital. I met her in out patients and fortunately they had her transferred into a ward within a couple of hours. She has a hematoma about the size of a tennis ball and the bruise is from her knee to her ankle. They have tried to get her walking but she is in a lot of pain. When they were taking her to the toilet on Thursday she collapsed and caused a bit of a panic. When I arrived she was back in bed and they had connected her to an IV – putting some fluids back into her. She was asleep and even when she was awake she was not really coherent. She was much better and talkative yesterday. Today she was down again and telling the nurses that she was ready to go.

I have spent the last couple of days looking at family tree information and purchased the latest version of Family Tree Maker. Looks a bit more advanced than the 2006 version I had. This week has also had plenty of remembrances. Jill’s Mum and my dad’s birthdays were on the 6th and 7th of August. I asked mum whose birthday was it on the seventh and it took her a couple of minutes and she said ‘Dad’s”. So at 95 that memory isn’t too bad.

The 8th and another birthday – HAPPY BIRTHBAY JEANETTE.We missed their Skype from Coral Bay WA. However they emailed us some photos.
