Week 143 ” Guess who came home for Dinner”

I have spent the last three days searching for Jessie. Climbed fences, searched neighbours backyards, called RSPCA, vets and radio stations, distributed lost flyers in the area to no avail. Jill has missed Jessie as much as me but tells me she is only sorry for me because I am upset. Each night at her normal feed time I have stood in our backyard calling to her. By Wednesday I was trying to think how I could pass the news to Mum. However she was still in hospital and still not the best.

On Wednesday I went of to visit Mum and arrived home about 5pm and as I walked to our front door I spied Jessie lying on the floor beside Jill’s chair. About half an hour earlier she had appeared at the back door covered in cobwebs, miaowing. Jill let her in and she went to her dish had a drink and laid down. My first comment to her was “where the hell have you been” She was a bit thinner and seemed very tired. The week could only get better from then.

Even with Jessie missing the exercises had to continue, vocastim and half hour sessions on the Wii Fit machine. Jill gets her weight and BMI checked each time we use it. It also has a Wii age. Jill has been doing the balance exercises, skiing, snow boarding, ski jumps, walking the tight rope and several others. I am certain that she is improving with each use. Your previous score are kept so that you know how you are doing.

Chris arrived home on Thursday evening to be with Jill while I went into hospital for a colonoscopy on Friday. Chris drove me up to the hospital on Friday morning at 8 am. I had to fast from Wednesday evening so my stomach was through to my back bone. I sat and read magazines, had my weight taken and answered health related questions until midday and a nurse came and wheeled me away on my bed. Into the operating theatre a IV inserted into my arm and the next thing I remember was back in my room and the nurse telling me I was all clear and she would make a date with me for 2012.

Chris stayed over night and helped me with stage 3 of the side fence and by mid afternoon we were finished and were able to admire our handy work. Much to Jill’s surprise she thought it was much better than she anticipated. Over the next couple of days I planted red cordylines and surrounded them with river stones – Finished.

Jill had a phone call from her sister Jeannette on Sunday and spoke to her for quite some time and learnt that they are off round Australia in May. We will get all the information when we meet up at Eildon over Easter

Well as this is very late this week I had better upload it to the net

See you next week on the net.
