Daylight saving is finally leaving us for this year. I got up this morning and proceeded to change all the clocks around the house and finally thought about the one in the caravan. Only to find it was correct, obviously since we have not used the van for over a year.
We had the brakes and batteries checked on the van. The battery that controls the break away system was completely flat and had to be replaced. They also found that the system was not wired correctly and would not have been charging from the internal battery charger all the time.
We have been packing the pantry in the van, over the past year we have robbed it when ever we were short of something. Jill kept saying make a list of all the items you take out of the van. I have still not wired the TV connection to the outside of the van – a little bit more complicated than I thought – so will have a go before Wednesday. We are going to prepare some frozen meals to take over the next couple of days. I have had to hide the Easter eggs from Jill . She has quite a passion for chocolate – not to say I dont. We leave here on Wednesday and meet up with Jeannette & Gavin at the Eildon Caravan Park ( Family Park) and the others will turn up on Friday. I think there is supposed to be aproximately 16 of us to celebrate Easter. We intend to stay until the following Thursday this will allow our builder to get the plumbing side of things organised.
Jake has had his stitches removed and appears to be quite happy, he has been booked into the kennels at Glenrowan for Easter. Seems to like the owners as he greets them with a wagging tail and completely forgets about us. He is slightly different when we pick him up. As I said last week Jessie is staying home alone – but for Lorna. Jessie is being allowed out again after her exploit.
We have had our final visit with our builder before he starts the renovations to the bathroom; He is going to start on the Tuesday after Easter. We have cleaned out the back bedroom and wardrobe, unearthing lots of treasures. Two boxes of BMX trophies belonging to Michael and Chris, Ribbons and certificates from Allison’s Highland dancing days, Allison’s Deb frock and of course her wedding gown. I am hoping that they will have room to house all these items, as with this alteration we will have lost some storage space.
I am not sure wether we will be able to put our Blog up for next Sunday as we will be in Eildon and am not sure about email connection or reception.
So we MAY see you next week on the net
